Position on the board is decided by one number: the dollar amount attached to a listing. Nothing else is weighed — not ratings, not downloads, not when you arrived.
To take any spot — including #1 — you only need to match the amount sitting there. A tie goes to the newer bid, so matching takes the spot. $5 opens a listing, bids move in $1 steps, and the ceiling is $999,999.
Existing listings keep their amount when someone bids above them — they are pushed down, not repriced. Paste the same App Store link again to raise your own listing, and you are charged only the difference.
An app that is live on the Apple App Store. A listing is keyed by its App Store id, so every app has exactly one spot on the board.
Icon, name, description, rating and screenshots are pulled from Apple at bid time and refreshed on every raise. You cannot supply your own copy or images. Links that are not App Store listings — websites, beta invites, TestFlight pages — belong on the sponsors board, which opens at $10.
Your rank is claimed the moment the payment completes. Every click on your listing goes to your App Store page through a counted redirect, and your click total is public.
Bids are not refundable when you get outranked. Being passed is the whole game; raise your bid to climb back. An app that is pulled from the App Store may be removed from the board without a refund.
Stripe handles checkout and sends your receipt. We resolve genuine errors quickly — a payment taken without a listing being created is fixed, not argued about.
Being outranked is not a genuine error and is not grounds for a chargeback. A chargeback filed without contacting us first may result in the listing being removed.
One public leaderboard for iOS apps, and one rule for who sits at the top. There is no editorial, no algorithm and no account — the board is a page anyone can read, and the only thing you can change on it is a number.
App discovery is decided by systems nobody outside Apple can see. This one is legible: the price is printed next to every listing, the gaps are marked, and the cost to pass anyone is stated on their row.
